For Parker, it's as simple as one drum - one beat.
"It's not what you're playing, it's what you're not playing."
His hand pan drum is a circle of sounds.
Now he's working on recording his first album of original material, due out at the end of 2019.
Parker's father is a saxophone player.
"Instead of babysitters, he brought me to band practice," he says.
After learning piano in school, he switched to percussion, and hopes to use it to help others through performances and therapy. Parker performs at yoga sessions, public performances, and hand pan circles - held all over the U.S. as month-long retreats.
"Everything is a vibration," Parker says. "We don't just on Earth. We have to experience as much. Your heart beats, and that is in tune with the Earth itself."
